Radiesse
How does it work?
​
Radiesse® is made of very tiny, smooth, calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen grows. This unique composition provides immediate visual improvement common with other fillers, along with the benefit of long-lasting results.
For the first three months after injection, Radiesse® initially performs as a filler substance by plumping up the skin. Then due to its collagen-generating properties, Radiesse® actually stimulates new tissue development for extended correction for up to 12 to 24 months. This is great for the hands ability to continue to look youthful as time goes on.

What sort of results should I expect?
Results vary from patient to patient but you should realistically expect to see a dramatic improvement in the tightening of the skin and decrease in soft lines presenting themselves on the hands. WHAT IS ERBIUM LASER THERAPY?
Erbium Laser Therapy is a laser treatment in which fine wrinkles, sun damage, acne scarring and age spots are greatly decreased or diminished. One of the biggest benefits of the erbium laser is that it is generally less invasive than CO2 resurfacing and other treatment types and has less down time. This means you can see amazing results without it effecting your day to day routine. Like many of the other services we offer the effected results very depending on the severity of the patients condition.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
The laser light is absorbed by the water in the skin cells, causing the instantaneous vaporization of the cell. As the laser passes across the skin, a small amount of tissue is removed at a time, allowing for the physician to treat only as deeply as needed. Our doctors are trained to know the best way to use this laser to get you the absolute best results possible.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BEFORE TREATMENT:
Avoid tanning or tanning creams four weeks prior to treatment this includes outdoors and indoor tanning, and avoid Accutane® for six weeks prior to treatment. Aspirin and other blood thinners should also be avoided for at least three days before treatment. Do not have any open sores or skin infections in the area to be treated, and shave area before your appointment. Do not apply makeup or moisturizers.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AFTER TREATMENT:
If necessary, over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen, may be taken. Cold compresses and Aloe Vera gel may be helpful in reducing pain, redness and swelling. Avoid the sun after treatment. If sun exposure is unavoidable, cover treated area with protective clothing and SPF 35 or higher. Do not go to the tanning salon or do any indoor tanning until cleared by the doctor to do so
